Busy busy. Kagami might have asked more about what sort of accident required them to replace those photographs, but he was a little distracted by the whole “heading into a private shower stall with Kise” event going down in front of him. And the continued talk about flirting. “You come on strong sometimes,” Kagami muttered mostly to himself, but whoops if the other boy heard him. He swore Kise did some of those things on purpose, just to get a rise out of him and enjoy the results. But he'd be lying if he said he didn't like his company, despite their sometimes outbursts.

Maybe that was why he didn't ask him why he was flirting. Because how would he respond if Kise answered “just horny” or something dismissive like that? It wasn't like Kagami wasn't in the same court, metaphorically speaking, but there was more to this. He didn't climb into the shower with just anyone. Much less talk about and check out like he had today. To admit that all of that was simply a fling or pure hormones... Kagami didn't really think about dating and girls or boys in that romantic sense all that much, even though high school and his looks were starting to change that. But he valued his friends and the people close to him, enough that he secretly feared losing them. Though he kept himself easily enough and it looked fine, sometimes the fact he lived alone with his parents gone threatened to extend beyond its little box in the corner of his mind. Kise was one of those people that made him feel not only alive, but also comfortable and “with someone.” And even if he was thinking about dating Kuroko, even if he already was, Kagami wasn't sure he trusted himself that he'd leave him alone.

Not after all this today and last night, when the yellow copycat made him question “attraction” and “dating” and all that other stuff basketball shoved out of his mind. Dammit. Was he even ready for that kind of thing? Maybe that was one of the unconscious reasons he went along with this, wanting both the comfort and friendship along with the challenge to both his basketball and his own growth. If he had to have a partner in figuring out all this romance stuff, Kise was probably his best choice. Like he'd ever admit it... Kise wasn't like Kuroko or Aomine, wasn't like Hyuuga or Kiyoshi. And he couldn't go to Alex (oh hell no). Who am I attracted to?

Weird question to find himself asking.

Right now, the answer was getting into the shower with him and looking damn fine while doing it. He wanted to both spin this off as hormones and guard it as something deeper. Mutual attraction had already begun heating his blood and he was admitting Kise himself was a decent person on and off the court. Guess he just had to continue down this road and stop looking back over his stupid shoulder. … Well, maybe that was okay right now, because fuck that view over his shoulder was nice.

The scrape of the curtain rungs over the bar dragged down his spine like nails on a chalkboard, making some of his hair stand up. That and the fact he could feel those eyes wandering down his backside. Admiring him. “Hey!” he barked in English as he spun around, glaring hot-faced at Kise. Don't stare at his ass and cuss like a pervert! Only to gulp a bit when the water turned on and he found himself face to face with the other ace, water spilling between them with rising steam. The low-voiced cuss a second ago lingered in his ears and blood rose to his face. And southward... He adds -icchi to your name if he likes you. The little addition sounded nice for once.

Stupid question, stupid modelesque water going all over Kise's body. Red eyes followed it from head to neck to chest to stomach to arms and legs, studying muscles and definitions... and even his dick because holy shit he was right there. He grit his teeth for a second, tension rising... and then let it all out in a rushing sigh. Honestly, what was the point to fighting anymore? After last night's texting conversation and those pictures, had he really thought this would never happen? Maybe he should just stop thinking and just run with it. Be the hothead everyone knew he was.

“You know I do,” he muttered, not as defensively this time, more curious and a little petulant. “I still have your stupid pictures on my phone.” Another glance at Kise's body again and he found himself wanting to trade those pictures for some others even better...
